Grechetto

With the name “Grechetto Wine” is also referred to as very different varieties of grapes, but the origin of this vine is always the basin of the Eastern Mediterranean. Cultivation of Grechetto Wine is spread in various locations in the provinces of Perugia and Terni. The grapes of this grape variety are present in purity or in numerous DOC of Umbria.

Grechetto Wine is a straw-yellow coloured wine with greenish reflections, with delicate fruity aromas, moderately acidic and sufficiently alcoholic. The smell comes with aromas of bitter almond and hazelnut, fruity hints of pear, peach and exotic fruits, floral sensations of acacia, elder and hawthorn. It can be used for Vin Santo production and for sparkling wines.
